Do I need to know coding to join the bootcamp?

No. We have had numerous students who have minimal to zero programming experience. Our labs are designed so that you are able to learn programming constructs as the language (Python) is used for data science.

Are there any prerequisites for the class?

It is highly recommended that you review basic statistics and get an introduction to programming. Once you enroll, we will be sending you some links of some pre-work to better prepare you for the class. Having said that, you can still join the class with a clean state and catch up as we go along.

What specs does my computer need to have to join?

You will need a Windows or Mac laptop with at least 8GB RAM (recommended) or at the minimum, 4GB RAM. You will also need about 4GB free disk space for some of the tools like Anaconda and OpenRefine and the datasets.

What format will the classes be in?

We will be applying a blended learning approach wherein concepts can be learned on your own time through this site prior to the discussion during the weekend. Live online classes will be held via Zoom. Labs will all be held during the live online classes. Non-graded exercises will also be shared throughout the class. Other than the labs we will be covering per module, the class will also be required to take on a Capstone Project applying predictive analytics techniques. The Capstone Project is recommended to be taken on by groups which will be assigned when the cohort starts.

What is the schedule of the bootcamp?

Classes are going to be held for 8 Saturdays and will be conducted from 3-6pm (Philippine Standard Time).

What if I can't make it on some scheduled class days?

If you can't make it to class - don't worry - we record and share all class videos for your reference while enrolled in the course. However, we do encourage you to attend the live classes to ask questions and to learn from your fellow classmates.

Will a certificate be issued at the end of the bootcamp?

Yes, you will be issued an Analytiks certificate after completion of bootcamp requirements which includes the capstone project presentations.
